200g of dried jackfruit is equivalent to about 500g of the original fruit. When you soak this jackfruit in water, you get 3 times of gresh jackfruit peeled and ready to cook. Having dried jackfruit, you are storing more jackfruit in limited quantity and little space with more shelve life where only water is removed.

Jackfruit benefits are amazing. 100 g of edible jackfruit bulbs provide 95 calories. The fruit made of soft, easily digestible flesh (arils) made up of simple sugars like fructose and sucrose that when eaten replenishes energy and revitalizes the body instantly. Jackfruit is rich in dietary fiber, which makes it a good bulk laxative. Reconstituting Guidelines

A good rule of thumb for reconstituting fruits, vegetables and meats is to add about three times the amount of boiling water to the product. Then let it set for at least 30 minutes based on the type of product.

If you have added too much water, you can drain it and use it in cooking. If your food  looks like it needs more water, then add more. To speed up the reconstitution process, add the dried product directly to soup and cook as usual.
